I'm also told that the captains had a chance to talk amongst themselves and get organized. Little did Alyssa (Tsunami) and Carey (Red Stripe) know...they would have to fill out many a spreadsheet. After all, their counterpart on Goleros, Ally, is a meeting planner by profession. And a good one.
But we're rearing to go. It seems representatives from each team will take charge for a couple of games, taking turns. Our main goal is to have fun.
The merged Red Tsunami team kicks off tomorrow at 3:30 p.m. at Wakefield High School in South Arlington. It's a nice turf field, a little hard to find if you're not familiar with the area. It sits down in a bowl.
I've gotten some questions about the roster from Goleros players. We have 30 players on the roster; 10 from each team. Everyone paid $50 each. Most likely, we'll have enough players each week given the large pool. If we don't, perhaps some of the other Goleros who are interested can fill in for those G players that can't make it. We'll see.
Wish us luck!
