Referee certification and re-certification courses

Got this email from the ref assignor for our league.

All:

On August 3rd, registration will be open for anyone looking to become a
USSF referee for the first time or to renew their USSF referee certification for
2010. To register, please go to www.vadcsoccerref.org and click on the online registration
link on the left. Cost for new referee (grade 8) or referee
recertification (grade 8) is $65.

Here are announced dates for New Referee clinics: (I expect more to be
added to the schedule, including the CCSL/WAWSL co-sponsored course in DC after
the season starts, but if any of these dates work for you, please jump on
them)

New Referee North 8 08/21/2009 - 08/23/2009 WINCHESTER MEDICAL CENTER MALL
LEVEL CONFERENCE ROOM #1 WINCHESTER VA $0 Open Denis J Doherty FOR PLANNING
& INFORMATION ONLY. YOU CANNOT ENROLL IN THIS CLASS YET. When the
registration system is open, you must preregister at www.vadcsoccerref.com
Please bring both copies of your registration forms with you to the class. Cost
of the clinic is $ 65.00

New Referee North 8 08/25/2009 - 08/29/2009 Reston Community Center at
Hunters Woods, 2310 Colts Neck Road, Reston, VA 20191 $0 Open Al Nunley This is
the basic referee course. Class will meet at Reston Community Center at Hunters
Woods, 2310 Colts Neck Road, Reston, VA 20191 for classroom instruction on
August 25th and 28th from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and on August 29th from 9:00
a.m. to 5:00 p.m. On Saturday the 29th we will walk to Hunters Woods Allred
Field for field training. ALL SESSIONS MUST BE ATTENDED. For the field training
students are expected to bring a coin, a whistle, a set of flags, a red card and
a yellow card, a shirtpocket size notepad, and a pen or pencil. You are not
expected to be in uniform. Registration must be done on line at www.vadcsoccerref.com and
is a TWO STEP process. First register to become a referee, then register for
this specific class. You can print a confirmation for each of the two steps.
Bring both confirmationsto the first class. No walk-in registrations will be
accepted. Pay on line ($65.00) if possible. If not, bring a check or money order
payable to "State Referee Program" to the first class. You will need a pen or
pencil for all classes. You may bring food and drink to class.

New Referee North 8 08/15/2009 - 08/22/2009 Mt. Vernon Gov't Ctr, 2511
Parkers Lane, Alexandria, VA 22306 $0 Open Lee Hingle The course is conducted in
3 sessions: Aug 15 (8:00 AM to 4:00 PM), Aug 16 (1:00 PM to 6:00 PM) and Aug 22
(8:00 AM to 4:00 PM). Students MUST attend all three sessions. The cost of the
course is $65.00. Payment by credit card, on-line is preferred. Students need to
read the Laws of the Game in preparation for the course as the pace in class is
very quick. Laws can be located at http://ussoccer.com/laws/index.jsp.html. The seventeen Laws in
the 2007-2008 Laws .pdf file should be read. Call 703-799-0236 with questions.

Rolling Road , Springfield Rm. 155 $0 Open Sharon Deplitch This posting is for
planning only: the new database should be available on August 3 for
registrationClass will meet : from 6-9:00 PM on 8/18, 8/19, 8/20, 8/26 (8/27
only if needed), and from 8-2:00 on 8/22. Students must attend all sessions to
be certified.

THIS TIME.Register and sign up for clinic through online registration. Pay
online or mail check to State Referee Program. Do not forget to mail Senior
Referee Checklist and Information Form to SRP. Re-certification requirements,
payment, checklist, and information form must be completed and submitted by
December 2009 for senior referee re-certification. Note fees: Grade 5 & 6,
$100; Grade 7, $70.
