We have made our first major roster move for the spring season. 

After a long hiatus as a full-time player, the Silver Fox is back.  Carlos will join us full time and help us shore up that defense.  And, it should be noted, you all owe him a huge favor because he is going to help out with reffing duties since Jer is taking an indefinite break due to injuries and other obligations.

Carlos, we're glad to have you back.  This just makes sense because you've been playing about 2/3 of the minutes anyway, and we need stability on defense.

Few roster changes expected

We made a lot of additions last season to our roster. Though we didn't have a lot of wins, I think we made some major improvements to the team. We are looking good as always.

We captains don't expect major changes to the roster. We may perhaps add a few women to fill some empty spots.

If you're not returning or will have significantly reduced availability, make sure to let the captains know immediately. We will otherwise count on your full participation!

Games start at the end of March.

Ermy moves to the DL; injuries taking a toll

We must finalize our roster this week. The major things we have to consider are how to temporarily fill spaces due to injuries. Take a look at the injury report:

Meg is off this season to get healthy (ankle).

Ermy is doubtful for the rest of the season (ankle). We will probably add his brother, Percy, as a reserve to help cover us.

Katya is out, but expected to return in a few weeks (stress fracture). Can't keep her down.

Final roster set

Yesterday, we submitted our final roster to the league. Here is the team in no particular order:

Women: Jackie, Ally, Kate, Heather, Kristin, Bri, Carolyn, Katya, De,
Cat, Meg.

Men: Pete, Chip, Griz, Jer, Mike, Jon, Liam, Alec, Chris, Adrian, Nate,
Ermy.

Alternates: Carlos, Anna, Tom.

Now that's a roster! We've got fantastic depth for a rec team. Long gone are the days in which we should be concerned about winning or losing based on which people show up. I think we can accomplish great things, but I guess we should start with a win this season before we get into that.

We have some relatively new faces still. Official welcomes to Ermy, Alec, Cat, and Meg.

There are still 4 "originals" in the mix: me, Griz, Chip, and Tom.
